- PoC Club invites you to our PoCLuck! It is on Thursday, November 20th at 2:15pm in the Commons. EVERYONE (all students and staff) are welcome to join us and bring a piece of their culture and home to our Peninsula table. While this is an opportunity for sharing traditions, it is also an opportunity to show talent in our cooking competition. There will be awards for best dishes! Sign up sheets will be provided during lunches in the Commons - so bring your best recipes, creativity & appetites. We can’t wait to taste around the world!
- A huge thank you to all those that participated in student club HOSA's Blood Drive event in December at Peninsula High School. There were 38 successful blood units donated by staff and students. This equates to 114 lives saved!!! Great job PHS in supporting your community! The next Blood Drive is planned for Tuesday, Feb 4th & 5th. Look out for details coming soon. Contact Mrs.Murphy or Mr.Smith for information.
- AVID Club meets TODAY at 2:15pm in Mrs Demianiw's room. We hope you will join us as we are working on some exciting upcoming events! You do not have to be in AVID to participate! See you there!
- Juniors! Don't forget that TODAY, Nov 19th is the last day to turn in your Krispy Kreme orders. Please turn in your PINK order forms and all money to the bookkeeper by 2pm on Wednesday so we can get our order placed. We also need your help to sell donuts at Winterfest. If you're interested in helping out, message Mrs Demianiw. Thank you!
- The Found Club will meet Thursday, Nov 20 in room 516 after school. We are a group of students who meet bi-weekly to discuss Biblical topics from a modern perspective. All are welcome to attend.
- Seniors, if Central Washington University is on your list of colleges that you are considering for next year, they will be here this Friday to conduct an On The Spot Admissions event. The event will be in the Future Readiness Center this Friday from 10:00-11:30. The application fee for CWU will be waived for attending. Central would like you to register for the event ahead of time, so stop by the Future Readiness center before Friday. Information is also on Schoology.
- Native American Fact – In 1857 the Tulalip Indian School was founded and was created to assimilate Native American children into an Anglo-American culture or to “civilize” the Native American Children. Many of the children were taken from homes, not allowed to speak their traditional language, forced to wear “English” clothing and often never returned home. The last federally run Native American residential school was closed in 2020.
