- Boys Basketball tryouts will be Monday and Tuesday next week. If you are interested in playing, make sure you are signed up in FinalForms and that you have all of your forms completed before showing up on Monday. Reach out to Coach Wheeler if you have any questions.
- PHS GSA- the Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club will meet today after school in room 207. Stop by for fun games in a safe space.
- Attention Key Club members and those interested in joining! Don’t forget — your dues must be paid to become an official member and participate in Key Club’s community service events. Pay by November 15th to receive a 35% discount on dues! After November 15th through November 24th, dues will be $15.50. Contact Mr Pinneo for more information! We can't wait to see you there
- Due to the rising popularity of the sport and a high number of sign-ups, we will be holding tryouts for both JV and Varsity Girls Flag Football — Make sure you are registered in Final Forms. Tryouts will begin on November 17. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Campbell or Coach Buys.
- Knowledge Bowl this week! Come to Mr. Kendall's class today in room 208, for competitive trivia, snacks, and more!
- PoC Club invites you to our PoCLuck! It is on Thursday, November 20th at 2:15pm in the Commons. EVERYONE (all students and staff) are welcome to join us and bring a piece of their culture and home to our Peninsula table. While this is an opportunity for sharing traditions, it is also an opportunity to show talent in our cooking competition. There will be awards for best dishes! Sign up sheets will be provided during lunches in the Commons - so bring your best recipes, creativity & appetites. We can’t wait to taste around the world!
- Attention all students interested in joining and helping with Key Club: Our rescheduled meeting for this week is today, Thursday 11/13, in room 204 right after school. We're working on membership, a wreath, and a booth for Winterfest and will need helpers interested in community service hours - and there are snacks!. Contact Mr. Pinneo with questions.
- Native American fact of the day – Frybead used to be called “Buggy Bread” due to the bugs in the flour or “Dirty” lard bread due to the lard being dirty or used from the settlers and given to the Natives to cook with. Often Natives were given flour with bugs, used or spoiled lard and spoiled meat while being placed on reservations or learning near Forts.
