Students perform a play, holding scripts on stage.

A New Twist on a Classic: Hamlet as Reader’s Theater

This fall, our students are exploring Shakespeare’s Hamlet in a fresh, creative way — through Reader’s Theater, where the power of voice and imagination take center stage.

In this unique format, students read directly from their scripts while using tone, pacing, and emotion to tell the story. Without the distraction of sets or costumes, the focus shifts to interpretation, collaboration, and pure storytelling — making every performance deeply engaging for the audience.

You’ll experience the full range of Hamlet’s emotion — from intrigue and betrayal to reflection and redemption — all through authentic student performance.

Why you’ll love it:
  • Brings literature to life in an accessible, modern way
  • Encourages students to interpret and connect with Shakespeare’s language
  • Offers an intimate, creative experience for the audience
Join us as our students prove that when it comes to storytelling, “the play’s the thing.”
