  1. Auto Safety Week continues. Today we focus on Distracted Driving. It is a leading cause of teen crashes, with studies showing it as a factor in up to 58% of teen-involved accidents. In 2022, 235 people were killed in crashes involving distracted teen drivers (ages 15-19). Keep yourself and others safe by making sure any devices are stowed away while driving. Your life is more important than responding to that text right away.
  2. Peninsula Girls Basketball, Summer Basketball Opportunities. May 27th Summer Info and Open Gym. (PHS Aux Gym 4:30pm-6pm). Practice Begins June 1st. Must register in Final Forms to participate and complete Open Gym Waiver, if never participated before.
  3. All seniors that had a Peninsula Hawk Scholarship portfolio accepted please check your email that you provided for important information on the scholarship award ceremony set for May 27th. If you have any questions please reach out to the PHSF president. 
  4. Seniors, please make sure to fill out the digital Mock Crash field trip form NOW. Mock Crash will be Friday, May 22. 
  5. Seniors, if you ordered a cap and gown after Spring Break, stop by the office to pick it up. All orders after May 18 can be delivered to your home address.
  6. Attention all Key Club members! We have a new volunteer opportunity for you, at Purdy Elementary both today and Thursday the 21st. Meet us at Purdy's front office at 2:30 PM after school to help donate and decorate potted plants with our Purdy Panthers. See our Key Club bulletin board in the main hallway to sign up. Hope to see you there, please contact Mr Pinneo or any key club officers for more information. 
  7. Volleyball open gyms start TODAY! If you’re interested in playing volleyball, come to the aux gym from 2:30–4:30 PM!
  8. Class of 2027!  Who is interested in purchasing a Class of 2027 Senior Shirt?! We've come up with an awesome design and we can't wait for you to see it!  Check out the interest form on the Class of 2027 Info Schoology Course.  If you think you'd like to purchase one, fill out the form by May 29th!
  9. Seniors, Prom Guest forms are now available in the main office. This form is only if you are bringing a NON PHS Student. Don’t delay.
