1. AVID Club is happy to announce this month's AVID Teacher of the Month.  This month we'd like to celebrate Mr Pratz! Here is why he was selected:  Mr Pratz helps students with points of confusion and stuck points. He uses scaffolding in his teaching to help students grasp concepts. He requires students to use organizational techniques like keeping a notebook for his math classes and Mr Pratz encourages note taking for students to help with their learning.  Keep making us PHS Proud!
2. If you are interested in West Sound Tech for your Junior or Senior year, come to the FRC today at 12:00 for more information! 
3. Seniors- The Students of Distinction application is now open! Please check out the Class of 2026 Counseling Schoology page for more information and the application link. Applications are due on March 20, so don't delay!
4. Hey Film Fans, the PHS Film Festival is next Wednesday, March 4th at the Uptown Galaxy Gig Harbor cinemas at 6pm. Come see your fellow students screen their short films at the Galaxy. Tickets are just $6.00 and can be purchased from the QR code on the posters that are all over the school. Or stop by room 518. Either way please come and support film and filmmaking at our school.
5. Hey Seahawks! This Friday the 27th the class of 2026 is taking over Qdoba! Stop by anytime during the day and grab a burrito — and help support our school at the same time. All you have to do is show the QR code (posted on our social media and flyers around campus) when you order, and a portion of your purchase will be donated back to PHS. Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and let’s make it a great turnout! 
6. Do you like to compete against yourself and others? Do you thrive off seeing the progress from your hard work? If the answer is YES! Than Track & Field is the spring sport for you! With 18 events for Boys and 19 events for girls there is sure to be something for you! Practices begin Monday, March 2nd and you must be signed up and fully cleared on Final Forms to participate. If you have any questions about T&F please talk to Mr. Hall in room W3. GO SEAHAWKS!!!

8. Attention PHS Boys and Girls Golfers! The first practice will take place at Canterwood Golf Club on Monday, March 2nd. Proper golf dress is required. Make sure to get yourself completely cleared in FinalForms ASAP. More information will be sent to all golfers registered in FinalForms. See Coach Johnson or Coach Cruz with questions.
9. Hey SEAHAWKS, Are you looking to get Stronger and Faster? Of course you are ...So Turn out for Track or another Spring Sport. However, if you are not turning out for Track and you are still looking to get Stronger and Faster OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE. Spring After School Strength and Speed Training will be open beginning March 2, each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Please meet in the Aux Gym. The whistle blows at 2:12. All levels of experience are welcome. No monetary cost, just consistency, effort and a great attitude.
