- This week is PHS “Love Each Other” Week! We’re focusing on creating a kind, welcoming school community. Today at lunch, you can write how you’ll show kindness, and we’ll use your messages to create a paper chain in the commons. Let’s start the week by choosing kindness and looking out for one another. Mother Teresa shared a quote that reflects that: “People who love each other fully and truly are the happiest in the world… Everything depends on how we love each other.” Let’s start the week by choosing kindness and loving one another.
- Our girls wrestling team captured back-to-back league championships in dominant fashion, crowning seven individual champions and qualifying thirteen wrestlers for the state tournament. Congratulations to Georgina Johnson on earning her second league title, Kaila Johnson, Paige Powers on securing her third league championship, and Lyla Klingler — all of whom captured league titles.
- Our boys wrestling team also had a strong showing, crowning league champion Nehemiah Grandorff and qualifying nine wrestlers for the state championships. Congratulations as well to Ben Griffin, Johann Powers, Bryce Tillman, Aaron Nickels, Tyler Sievers, David Howard, and Peyton Beckett for their hard work and dedication on the mat. We are proud of all our wrestlers and wish our state qualifiers the best of luck!
- Get ready, PHS! Our annual Lip Sync Battle is happening on March 6th! Sign-ups are officially OPEN! You can perform solo or with a team. Just choose your song and get signed up! Click the link on your "class of" schoology page to sign up and claim your spot before it's too late! Sign ups close Wednesday, February 11, see Mrs. Bruess with any questions. Let's see who this year's champion is!
- Hey Peninsula! Valentines is this weekend. Do you want to celebrate the holiday by sending one of your friends a little gift to make their day better? Stop by Key Clubs booth Monday the 9th through Thursday the 12th and buy a chocolate rose for them, it's 5 dollars for the rose including a customized note. The roses will be sent out during 4th period on the 13th.
