- Congratulations to Shae Dooley for winning the Poetry Out Loud Southwest Washington Regional Final on January 24, 2026 at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia! Shae will represent our region at the Washington State Final Competition at the Tacoma Little Theater on March 7, 2026 and will compete for the title of the state champion and the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for the Poetry Out Loud National Finals.
- Attention current girls athletes: You are invited to the 2026 “Your Voice Matters” event hosted by the Girls and Women in Sports Club at Curtis High School. This event is designed to coincide with National Girls & Women in Sports Day. It’s all about celebrating, encouraging, and empowering current, future, and former female athletes and fans. All ages are welcome, and the night is sure to inspire everyone who attends! Tuesday, Feb 3, 6 PM, at Curtis HS. For more info see the Athletic office.
- Seniors & Juniors, would you like to visit the Olympic College campus? The Future Readiness Center is taking students on a tour of the school and an opportunity to learn more about programs offered there. This is especially helpful for students who are already planning on attending OC next year. Permission forms are in the Future Readiness Center, and due back by February 2nd. Spots are limited!
- On Friday Jan 23 the girls bowling team earned a berth to the district tournament. We finished in 3rd place. Janelle Ramones was a high series finisher. The girls going to district are: Allison Angeles, Jillian Angeles, Elisha Calaunan, Angelina Brambila, Janelle Ramones, Nikki O’Keefe, Emilia Calaunan. District is Jan 31 @ Bowlero (Lakewood )
