- On Saturday, Cross Country faced more than 120 schools and 4,500 runners from all over the Pacific Northwest at Chambers Creek. Girls Varsity again came away with a top finish--second in the silver division behind Canadian powerhouse West Point Grey Academy. They were led by Sophomore Ascher Laschek's 12th place individual finish. Meanwhile, Boys Varsity placed 5th in the silver division, led by Sophomore Wyatt Harding's 4th place individual finish. The runners continue to train and get faster as we approach our one and only home meet, next Wednesday, October 15th vs. Gig, CK, and SK at Roy Anderson Field
- Today in the Career Center, Tacoma Community College will be visiting at 8:30. This is for students that want to attend TCC after graduation, not for Running Start students. Tomorrow, Saint Martin's University will be visiting at 12:00. Visits are open to all grades!
- PHS Knowledge Bowl Starts Thursday, October 9th! Come meet us in Mr Kendall's Room at 2:00, #208, for fun trivia games, snacks, and more!
- This Tuesday, October 7, Environmental club has their first campus cleanup of the year! Join us in room 401 right after school to clean up the campus and get volunteer hours.
- Buenos Dìas y Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! El Pueblito, Puerto Vallarta & El Guero are a few Hispanic/Latino businesses nearby you should support this month in celebration!
- Are you going to be ready for the Pickleball Tournament on November 1st? You need to practice! Pickleball Drop-ins this week are on THURSDAY, Oct 9th. It’s $5 from 530 - 7pm in the Aux Gym. PHS students & staff are welcome. You must fill out a liability waiver available in the Main Office or Mrs Demianiw’s room and have it signed by your parents in order to play ahead of time.
