- Peninsula Boy's Tennis won their first match on Thursday 9/11 against Timberline 5-0. Go Hawks!
- Seniors, WSU is hosting an automatic admissions event today during both lunches! Come to the Career Center between 10:30-12:00. Admissions Counselors will be available to answer any questions you might have about WSU as well.
- This coming Mid-Winter break you will have the awesome opportunity to go to Washington, DC for a week that will be one of the best experiences you have ever had. You will walk the halls of Congress, experience the many monuments and memorials that represent our rich history, meet members of Congress, explore the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery and the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the White House, and so much more. If interested, see Mr. Messersmith in room W5 ASAP or talk with your history teacher. You must secure your spot by the first week of October.
- Class of 2027 is starting Pickleball Drop In THIS WEEK. Our first one is tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept 16th! We’ll be doing them about once a week until our big tournament on November 1st. All skill levels are welcome - we have paddles and balls and just want everyone to come out to have fun. It’s $5 from 530 - 730pm in the Aux Gym. The Pickleball calendar will be posted on Schoology and the ASB Calendar. You MUST fill out the liability waiver available in the Commons, Main Office or Mrs Demianiw’s classroom and have it signed by your parents in order to play. We look forward to a great turnout and lots of fun over the next few months! See everyone on the courts!
- In an exciting showdown last Thursday (9/11), the Lady Seahawks came out victorious for the first time in 7 years in a close meet against the Silas Rams. With Silas leading by 1 point going into the final event, a relay of Boe Ballard, Reese Miller, Sydney Gardner, and Sophia Evers took a whopping 6 second victory to pull PHS into the lead, winning the meet. With individual district qualifications from Boe Ballard, Sydney Gardner, Lee Gjertson, Sophia Evers, Ryan Garrels, and Reese Miller, as well as a dominant 2-3-4 finish from varsity dive of Jordan Givot, Sydney Coxford, and Kiarah Gallegos, Peninsula is set for a spectacular season. This week, the team hopes to add another victory against the North Thurston Rams, we wish them luck! With Shark Bowl approaching on Sep. 25th, the Seahawks look to challenge the Gig Harbor Tides after their decade+ winning streak. Hosted at Peninsula, we hope you'll cheer on the girls in the highly anticipated matchup. Go Hawks!
- GSA Club will hold its first meeting next Thursday, September 18th from 2 to 3 in room 207. See Ms. Bowlan for more information or just show up and join in the fun.
- Looking for a way to level up your week? Join the Tabletop Games Club! We're all about rolling dice, conquering quests, and having a blast with friends. Whether you're a seasoned strategist or just curious about tabletop games, there's a seat for you at our table. Come hang out and play games with us every Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in Room 206 starting on 9/18. Bring your favorite games or just yourself. We can't wait to see you there! - Join PHS' Environmental Club on Tuesday 09/16 @ 2:05 for our first meeting of the year! Meet our club execs, learn about our club and dive into the projects we are excited to begin planning! We can't wait to meet you!
- Fall Season sports have begun and PHS Girls Basketball will have the opportunity to to prepare for the WInter Season with Off Season Workouts. Workouts begin Monday Sept 15, meet in the Commons, start time 4:30 - 5:30. Be ready to workout and bring a water bottle.
- The weight room will be open to athletes looking to prepare for their season or anyone with a passion for fitness. Starting today, we will have open workouts Mon, Wed, and Thurs. from 2:45 - 4:00. See Mr. Griffin with any questions.
