Block Schedule
- No West Sound Tech today
- Last Friday, Girls Lacrosse, both JV and Varsity beat out Evergreen. JV won their game 20-12. Taylor Riley and Brenna McCabe were major contributors on the offensive side with 13 goals combined between the two. Varsity won their game 19-3 with Sydney Elton and Megan Rockness leading in goals. Maddie Harding and Katie Waida led in ground balls while Anya Helgerson and Olivia Van Someren led in draw controls. There are three more games left in the normal season - the last home game will be this Thursday at GHHS with JV playing at 5:00 and Varsity playing at 7:00.

- Your Peninsula Lacrosse high school boys take on Enumclaw tonight at Roy Anderson. Join us to celebrate our 9 seniors at 7 pm and then first face off will be at 7:30 pm.
- BIG CONGRATS to our Band and Choir students who competed at the State Solo and Ensemble Competition at Central Washington University this past Friday and Saturday. All 36 performers had fantastic performances and represented PHS with pride! Special shout out to the following soloists and ensembles for receiving a majority of Superior ratings from a panel of 3 judges which is the highest rating any group or soloist can receive! Brass Quintet (Kris Davis, Jacob Horton, James Kane, Ben Caseley, Jhoanna Lopez). Percussion Ensemble. Jhoanna Lopez, tuba solo. Kyoka Morimoto, trumpet solo. Luka Hawkins, mezzo soprano solo. Mixed Vocal Trio (Luka Hawkins, Henry Glore, Scarlett Craggs). Last but not least, Dylan Shipman received all Superior ratings and won 2ND PLACE in State for his Bass Clarinet solo!!
- Seniors--Did you know it is not too late to apply to college? On Tuesday, April 29, college reps from Central Washington, Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma Community College, and Washington State University will be in the Career center from 9:00 - 10:30 am to assist with applications and/or answer any questions you might have regarding next steps. Even if you have already applied and been accepted, swing by and say hello to the rep!
- Seniors and Juniors interested in Construction Trades Careers are invited to the Pierce County Construction Career Day on Friday, May 16th. It will be a great day of hands-on exploration of big machinery, building small projects, meeting experts in the field, and testing your skills. Pick up a permission form in the Career Center and hand it in by Thursday, May 8th. Questions? See Mrs. Amrine or Mrs. Jackson.
- Unified Soccer played their first game this past weekend at Foss High School. The Tigers came from behind to tie against Rogers HS. Goal scorers were Mark Slocum, Capri Clawson, Jaybe Jones, and Michael Mallory. The Epic Ballers had a big win over Fife HS. Goal scorers were Justin Carnhan, Payton Carnhan, Lauren Holmber, and Nicole Thompson. Tomorrow night is the only night to see the Unified Soccer team play at home on Roy Anderson Field. Our showcase game will be played during halftime of the Varsity Soccer game vs Bellarmine. Hope to see everyone there!
