1. Congratulations and good luck to our four team members competing at the state tournament for speech & debate this weekend! Thursday & Friday, Mars Burton and Alyssa Robinson will compete in the Lincoln Douglas Debate. On Saturday, Mars will compete again in EXTEMP, Alyssa will compete in Humorous Interpretation, Alex Sprague will compete in Informative Speaking and Olivia Towe will compete in Humorous Interpretation - Good luck!

 

2. Please come to the Cafeteria today for our healthy and delicious Salad Bar. We are offering spicy or regular chicken, ham, turkey, three types of cheeses, cucumber, mushroom, olives and more to make a fantastic salad. Please note; we will not be offering made to order sandwiches Thursday only. We can't wait to see you for lunch today! 

 

3. All 10th graders, next week will be SBA English testing in your English class. Make sure your Chromebook is charged.

 

4. ​Seniors: Are you planning on attending Olympic College next year?​  The OC Foundation scholarship application is open and the deadline has been extended to April 6th. ​Look on Schoology for the link to apply.

 

5. The Found Club will meet TODAY after school in the woodshop. We are a group of students who meet each week to discuss Biblical topics from a modern perspective. Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

6. Please join Unified and Take the Pledge. What does this mean? Come see us at both lunches and sign the banner pledging to work towards kindness and inclusion here at Peninsula High School. We want all students to feel welcome. Remember Being a Unified Champion School through Special Olympics fosters inclusivity, leadership, and respect by bringing students of all abilities together through sports, education, and whole-school engagement.

 

7. Juniors! The Career Center is taking a field trip to UW Tacoma for College Planning Day. Come check out Washington State public and private 2 and 4 year colleges and universities. Permission forms are on Schoology or you can pick one up in the Career Center. Forms are due back to the Career Center on Friday, March 21. 

 

8. Just a reminder - Your varsity girls lacrosse team will be playing at Curtis High School tonight at 6:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
