- HOCO ticket sales are still going, they are $10 with ASB. Without your ASB card, tickets are $12. Sales end on Thurs, Oct 10th. At the door, tickets will be $15. Get your tickets early Seahawks! Get your guest forms in early also!
- Last Thursday, PHS girls soccer played against Lakes High School. JV secured their first league win by a score of 2-0 with both goals being scored by Sydney Smith. The Varsity team showed the meaning of Purdy Grit by slogging out a 5-4 victory in the pouring rain and coming all the way back from a 2-4 deficit. Goals were scored by Ella Coates, Ada Labowitz, Kaylee Dastrup, Nora Sutherland and the winning goal by Maya Rogers, assisted by Nora Sutherland. Huge spotlight goes to goalkeeper Brooklyn Finch for keeping the Lady Seahawks in the game. Congratulations to both teams. Next game is at Capital on Tuesday.
- Cross Country raced in a Puget Sound League Championship Preview on Saturday. Varsity Girls placed 4th among 9 PSL teams, led by Elektra Higgins (1st overall). Varsity Boys placed 4th, led by Joshua Cashion (5th overall). JV Girls placed 2nd, led by Sofie Babbitt (5th overall), and JV Boys placed 2nd, led by Andrew Ericson (5th overall). This Saturday, Cross Country will face 98 schools at Chambers Creek in University Place. Circle your calendars for their one and only home meet--Oct 16 on the PHS campus. Seniors will be recognized before the runners take on Gig, CK, SK, and Curtis.
