I was born in Utah in 1951 and moved to Tacoma
in 1958. My dad was an artist and occupational therapist, mom was a
farm girl who could ring a chicken's neck with 2 fingers. I went to
Delong, Hunt Jr. High and Wilson, graduating in 69. I got caught up
in the anti war movement and became a hippie, a religious hippie. On
my way to my degree I went to BYU, PLU, TCC and graduated from UW in
74 with a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Sociology
(of all things). I got 2/3 of the way to an MBA and stopped. I was
married to my high school sweetheart at age 20, and it has been
wonderful. Still very much in love and never had an argument in 36
years. We built a house in Gig Harbor in 75. We raised 4 kids. The
first mastered at Stanford in Computer Science, the second is an
Industrial Engineer, my daughter has a degree in Physics and the
last son in Bio Physics, all great kids. I have done a lot of
building on the side, about 12 houses, *(every board and nail) and
built houses for each of my kids. I retired from engineering and
became a teacher for the love of it. I taught Physics at Bellarmine
for 6 years then came out here for a part time position. We
are up to 5 grand kids and looking forward to doing missionary work
over seas before too long.
