After graduating from PHS in 1985 I went back east and finished my
undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound. With a BA
in Business/Marketing I went to work as an account executive for a
radio station in the Seattle market. Part of my responsibilities at
‘Non-Stop Country Hits…K-106’ included sales, promotions, copy
writing and on-air production. Five years into my radio career, the
station was sold and I found myself at a cross-roads. It was at that
time that I decided to return to college and work towards a teaching
certificate. I received my Master’s in Education from City
University in Tacoma. I was finishing my student teaching at Key
Peninsula Middle School in Mr. Taraboacha’s math class when an
opening at Peninsula High School became available. PHS was looking
for a math certified teacher with experience in radio broadcasting.
That opening fit me perfectly. I started in 1997 and have enjoyed
every day!
Outside of School
Married to my National Board Certified wife Lisa and busy raising 3
great kids. Amanda (20), Christian (16), Madeleine (14)
